Erevos Aether's Gaping Void

Erevos Aether debut collection for AW 2011-2012 is a powerful aesthetic statement.
Inspired by Charles Baudelaire’s poetry in Flowers of Evil, “Gaping Void”, really stands out for uniqueness.
It’s not dark, it is obscure.
It’s not futuristic, it is primordial.
It’s not erotic, it is sinful.
As Baudelaire used to extract the beauty from the malignant, in the same way the London based designer let the sartorialism exude from each neoprene fiber.
Silks, cashmeres, metals, crystals embrace eachother to create a transcendent high fashion silhouette. Textures mix to capture and reflect the light, as if they were textiles spleens and ideals blending to get the aesthetic ecstasy.
The collection has been presented a month ago, with a video directed by Konstantinos Menelaou (Producer at Large). More than a video, it’s a movie with a strong artistic influence that really seems to visually reel of some Baudelaire poerty.
Erevos Aether is already getting a lot of interest among the fashion insiders as well as among the fashionistas.
His movie was given a premier by Diane Pernet on A Shaded View on Fashion website, and Lady Gaga is already wearing some of his pieces.
Below you can have a closer look to his stunning creations, and a link to his movie.
