10 CORSO COMO fashion design concept store, in Milan
10 Corso Como was founded in 1990 in Milan, Italy, by gallerist and publisher Carla Sozzani.
It has been described as "a so-called concept store, a mini lifestyle emporium", and has been identified as an inspiration for stores in London and Paris
The complex began with an art gallery and a bookshop. Other spaces soon followed: a design and fashion store in 1991, the 10 Corso Como Cafè in 1998, a small hotel (with only three rooms) in 2003, the Roof Garden in 2009.
10 Corso Como and the 10 Corso Como logo are designed by American artist Kris Ruhs.
In 2002 10 Corso Como opened in Tokyo in partnership with Comme des Garçons, designed by Rei Kawakubo and Kris Ruhs.
In 2008 10 Corso Como opened in Seoul in partnership with Samsung Cheil, Samsung Group, designed by Kris Ruhs
A must see when in Milan.

How to get there
ps.
please note: the entrance is sort of hidden, when you reach it just go in, cross the courtyard, ignore the restaurant on your right (or maybe not!) and get in the shop, at your left!
when there don't forget to explore the wonderful Galleria Carla Sozzani , a wonderful exibit space as well as a very interesting bookshop.
happy day dreaming!

Are we still afraid to look towards the future?
Mad Men is one of TV’s style success stories, influencing fashion audiences en masse. In conjunction with the show’s success, 50’s fashion has been used widely across the catwalks; as seen at Michael Kors fall/winter 2008/09, followed by Louis Vuitton, Prada, Giles, Fendi, and Marc Jacobs while a resurge of mid-length dresses and feminine silhouettes has emerged throughout the high street.

Woman as a Landscape
Fabrizio Talia "Woman as a Landscape" presentation didn't fail to impress.
His three unique creations were exposed at the Iosseliani boutique at Pigneto on thursday july the 7th.
They were a beautiful interplay of volumes and colors, minimalism and redundancy.
Iosseliani jewels were of course the perfect complement to the designer's creations.
Fabrizio's wonderful collages were exposed to show part of the creative process behind the collection.
Very good suble electronic music was played live during the event by Dj Rocco, and some lovely Primo food and drinks were served to the guests.
The presentation has been featured on vogue.it.

Erevos Aether's Gaping Void
Erevos Aether debut collection for AW 2011-2012 is a powerful aesthetic statement.
Inspired by Charles Baudelaire’s poetry in Flowers of Evil, “Gaping Void”, really stands out for uniqueness.
It’s not dark, it is obscure.
It’s not futuristic, it is primordial.
It’s not erotic, it is sinful.
As Baudelaire used to extract the beauty from the malignant, in the same way the London based designer let the sartorialism exude from each neoprene fiber.

every Don Quixote has a Sancho Panza
Alexander McQueen collections designed by Sarah Burton still make the fashion people discuss a lot.
The overall opinion seems to be that she took over in style, but still there are a few journalists and bloggers talking about her being too literal in repeating what has been done before by McQueen himself.
There's even someone hinting at the fact she's doing what she's doing just to prove SHE was the genius since the beginning.
